At Zen Surf, all our surf instructors are passionate about their job. Sharing their passion with as many people as possible, and inspiring smiles and even vocations in some: that’s what motivates them every day.

➼ Our surf instructors are among the best in the region. We only hire local, qualified surf instructors (with surf instructor and lifeguard certification) with extensive experience. Because safety and customer satisfaction are our number 1 priority. Every aspect of your experience is designed to create a calm and inspiring environment that promotes your surfing progress. And because we believe in supporting the local economy, the majority of our staff come from the surrounding area.

Saïd // The Camp Guru
Would you like to organize an excursion to a remote surfing spot, book a cab to the legendary Imsouane wave, or anticipate renting your surfing equipment for the following day once you're there? Saïd will take care of it. As camp manager, he ensures that everything runs smoothly on site and that you make the most of everything our beautiful region has to offer. His professionalism and in-depth knowledge of the region make him the ideal person to manage the various services we offer. And while he may seem serious at first, don't worry, he also has a great sense of humor 😉

Ichou Brahim​ // The Local Surf Legend
Ichou Brahim is a true living legend in the Taghazout Bay area. He has been a surf instructor at Zen Surf for many years, and his reputation speaks for itself. He also runs a surf shop with his brother, just a short walk from the camp, where he usually repairs boards. If you're in the area, make sure to stop by—it's well worth a visit! With decades of surfing experience under his belt, his tips and guidance during surf sessions help our guests progress quickly. Calm, funny, and a natural teacher, he’s also widely recognized as the best kids’ instructor in the region. A guarantee of unforgettable memories for the whole family !

Mustafa is a friendly young man, always in a great mood and incredibly talented—both as a surf instructor and as a photographer, his second passion. Offering tips and guidance while capturing your first moments standing on a board? The perfect combination, don’t you think? Thanks to him, we also get to enjoy video debriefs after a delicious evening meal. He’s always looking to refine his skills and improve, so feel free to ask him for a video montage of your surf week—he’ll be more than happy to create one for you!

You might not see them often during your stay, but they play a significant role in making Zen Surf what it is today. These amazing women work hard every day to prepare delicious breakfasts, lunches, and traditional dinners made with fresh ingredients. It’s hard to appreciate their talent without tasting their dishes, but our guests can tell you: they truly deserve our utmost respect! So, if you happen to see them during your visit, don’t hesitate to offer them a kind word of thanks—they’ll appreciate it deeply.

We are Tamara and Nicolas. In 2014, we made our dream a reality: leaving the 9-to-5 lifestyle to live our passion—surfing and yoga. Enchanted by Morocco and the Taghazout region, we decided to create Zen Surf Morocco, a peaceful haven for those who want to discover or enhance their surfing skills while enjoying the complementary benefits of yoga classes. Although we no longer live here full-time, our passion remains as strong as ever and continues to make the camp more welcoming each year. We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve built over the past 10 years, but above all, we’re proud of the team, the friends, and the community that make Zen Surf what it is today.
